How do I establish the quality of a financial adviser?

It is important to look for the following points.

Does my adviser have UK financial qualifications from a recognised body in the provision of retail financial advice. [the three main bodies who provide the qualifications for UK financial advice are: 1) the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), 2) The Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) 3) The London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF). Or do they have European equivalent qualifications and membership with the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA)

How much experience does my advisor have?

Has my advisor worked in the UK as well as overseas?
Are reviews available on Trustpilot or another independent customer review platform from their satisfied clients?

Are they transparent in the fees that you will have to pay or are there hidden commissions?
